Application Process

 

The ACTA Foundation funds the creation, development and production of catechetical projects which foster and support adult faith development in the Roman Catholic tradition.

 

Through its grants the ACTA Foundation supports innovative catechetical initiatives for adults that will have a broad impact on the life of the Roman Catholic Church. The Foundation is ordinarily able to accept grant proposals within the $5,000 - $50,000 range.

Guidelines

 

  • Proposals must be submitted online via our online Grant Application process.

  • Proposals may be submitted at any time. Proposals will be reviewed by the ACTA Board at its bi-annual meetings (Fall and Spring).

  • Proposals sent to the ACTA Foundation for review should not be submitted to other funding agencies while under consideration by ACTA.

  • The Foundation will prioritize funding for projects focused on adult catechesis that demonstrate creativity and have the potential for a meaningful impact on the wider life of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. Projects for youth and children will not be funded.

  • Applications must include a detailed, itemized budget clearly showing what part of the project is being requested for support. The ACTA Foundation does not fund operational expenses, including salaries.

  • The ACTA Foundation requires a copy of any produced material that was funded (or partially funded) by ACTA.

  • An evaluation and financial report of the project is required upon the publication or completion of the project.
