Guidelines

• Grants are limited to U.S. Catholic organizations for projects taking place within the United States.

• Proposals must be submitted online via our online Grant Application process.

• Proposals may be submitted at any time. Proposals will be reviewed by the ACTA Board at its bi-annual meetings (Fall and Spring).

• Proposals sent to the ACTA Foundation for review should not be submitted to other funding agencies while under consideration by ACTA.

• The Foundation funds projects focused on adult catechesis that demonstrate creativity and have the potential for meaningful impact on the wider life of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. Projects for youth and children will not be considered.

• Applications must include a detailed, itemized budget clearly showing what part of the project is being requested for support. The ACTA Foundation does not fund operational expenses, including salaries.

• The ACTA Foundation requires a copy of any produced material that was funded (or partially funded) by ACTA.

• In addition to the application, applicants must be prepared to submit: (1) a project narrative or description, (2) an itemized project budget, (3) the organization’s overall budget, and (4) any relevant supporting materials

• An evaluation and financial report of the project is required upon the publication or completion of the project.

• Only one grant per organization will be considered or funded at a time. All reporting from previously funded projects must be completed and accepted before a new request will be considered.
